Hi, my name is Manni and I'm the founder of defkode.com. My goal is to share my coding projects and help others in achieving their web development projects. I thought that I would share my coding experience and how I got started few years ago.

Below are resources I used to learn:

1. Python

(a) Learn Python - Full Course for Beginners [Tutorial] by freeCodeCamp.org
Web link: Click link

I would recommend you watch this video first before you proceed to learning. This video covers basics of python programming. There are other program such as PHP, Java, C++ and others. I chose Python because it is easier to learn for me and due to growing popularity in machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), it will be skill to look out for in future.

(b) Automate the Boring Stuff with Python by Al Sweigart

This book covers projects you can do to improve your skills in python programming. It will build small projects and you will have opportunity to compare your code with tutors code. I highly recommend to read this book.

(c) python.org

This is tutorial documentation created by Python. This tutorial introduces you informally to the basic concepts and features of the Python language and system.

(d) Learn Python 2 by Codecademy

If you are finding above difficult to learn, you can sign up to free tutorial created by codecademy. However, this free tutorial is created under Python 2 which is not too different from Python 3.

2. Blogs

The below blogs will give you an idea of python engineering and areas you can expand based on your interested field. They are helpful if you are confused as to area to choose within software engineering.

3. Udemy

(h) Python and Django Full Stack Web Developer Bootcamp by Jose Portilla
Web link: Click link

This course covered both frontend and backend web development from HTML, CSS, Bootstrap JavaScript, Jquery, Python and Django. It also covered how to deploy your development project via hosting platform. I was able to complete this website (defkode.com) after completing this course.

In general, it was a good course and tutor was really helpful. There are other good course out there. You just need to find the one that suits you.

4. Others

(i) W3School
